Job summary

Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is seeking a motivated per diem Occupational Therapist to provide in-home care in Manhattan. All levels of experience are welcome and will train the right new graduate.

Flexible schedule and a supportive team environment enhance professional growth. You will deliver 1:1 therapy, assess patients, and develop individualized treatment plans in the home setting, while collaborating with physicians and family members to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• OT program graduate is required.
• Licensed in New York or eligible to obtain licensure.
• Ability to travel to patients’ homes within designated geographic area.

Responsibilities

• Accept and treat patients within your designated geographic area.
• Provide 1:1 treatment.
• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient needs.
• Deliver care that aligns with professional standards and policies.
• Educate family members and caregivers on therapy techniques.
• Plan and carry out occupational therapy programs to maintain or restore function.
• Perform initial exam and document findings prior to intervention.
• Provide timely documentation for each visit.
• Evaluate progress and adjust treatments for maximum benefit.
• Must be willing to treat geriatric patients.
