Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy, a comprehensive multidisciplinary company, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our Homecare team in New York. You’ll provide 1:1 in-home therapy and develop personalized treatment plans to restore independence for patients.

You will educate family members and caregivers, document care accurately, and travel to patients’ homes within your geographic territory, delivering care that aligns with professional standards and the plan of care.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in NY or eligible.
• OT Program Graduate.
• Willing to travel to patients' homes within assigned geographic territory.

Responsibilities

• Accept and treat patients within your designated geographic area.
• Provide 1:1 treatment.
• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient needs.
• Deliver care that aligns with professional standards and the plan of care.
• Educate family members, home health aides, and caregivers on proper therapy techniques.
• Plan and carry out occupational therapy programs to restore or improve physical function.
• Perform and document an initial exam and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation for each visit.
• Evaluate effects of treatment and adjust as needed to maximize benefit.
• Must be willing to treat geriatric patients.
