Heartstrings Pet Hospice invites compassionate veterinarians to join our in-home hospice and euthanasia practice, serving families in their homes across designated PA areas. Join a doctor-led, privately held practice with autonomy and no non-compete.

Role focuses on hospice, palliative care, pain management, and compassionate euthanasia, with flexible scheduling and strong support from a dedicated veterinary and operations team.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Active veterinary license in the states you serve.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel between appointments.
• Ability to work independently as a mobile veterinarian in-home setting.
• Strong empathetic communication for hospice and end-of-life discussions.
• Willingness to participate in rotational weekend scheduling.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with heavier weights with accommodations.
• Successful completion of background checks before start date.

Responsabilités

• Provide in-home pet hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, pain and symptom management, and compassionate euthanasia services within your service area.
• Independently travel to scheduled appointments in a mobile veterinary care environment.
• Perform physical examinations, clinical assessments, medication administration, sedation, euthanasia, and related services.
• Educate families on quality-of-life decisions and end-of-life options with empathy.
• Maintain accurate veterinary records and documentation.
• Communicate professionally with families and the veterinary team.
• Safely handle and move companion animals during at-home visits.
• Maintain professionalism and clinical independence while in the field.
• Demonstrate Heartstrings' values: Compassion, Dignity, Respect.
