Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking qualified veterinarians to provide in-home hospice, palliative care, and compassionate euthanasia in the Omaha, Papillion, and Bennington areas of Nebraska. This role emphasizes autonomy, spoken empathy, and professional judgment in a mobile setting.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), BVMS, or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Active veterinary license in the state(s) where services will be provided, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Ability to travel to patients’ homes as part of mobile veterinary care.
• Comfort working independently in a mobile practice setting with support from Heartstrings.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and euthanasia services.
• Travel independently to scheduled in-home appointments in a mobile care environment.
• Perform physical exams, sedation, euthanasia, and medical record documentation.
• Educate families on quality-of-life decisions and end-of-life options with empathy.
