Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families throughout Mason, Sharonville & Blue Ash, Ohio and surrounding areas. This role offers professional autonomy, meaningful family-centered care, and the opportunity to practice compassionate end-of-life veterinary medicine in the comfort of home.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent required.
• Active veterinary license in the applicable state.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel to home visits.
• Comfortable working independently as a mobile veterinarian.
• Strong empathy and professional communication during end-of-life conversations.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and euthanasia services.
• Travel independently to scheduled appointments in a mobile care setting.
• Perform exams, administer medications, sedation, euthanasia, and related services.
• Educate families on quality-of-life decisions and end-of-life options.
• Maintain accurate medical records and professional documentation.
• Communicate with families, Heartstrings team, and referring veterinarians.
• Safely handle animals during home visits.
• Work independently with clinical autonomy while upholding Heartstrings values.
• Demonstrate Compassion. Dignity. Respect. in every interaction.
