Heartstrings Pet Hospice in Nebraska is seeking In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve families across Omaha, Papillion, Bennington and surrounding areas. This role offers the unique chance to practice medicine with autonomy and deep, personal connections in the home.

You will provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality‑of‑life support, and compassionate euthanasia, travel between appointments, maintain records, and collaborate with a dedicated veterinary team.

Qualifications

• Empathy and strong communication with pet families.
• Ability to work independently in a home-based setting.
• Active veterinary license in the appropriate state(s) and DVM-equivalent degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia within your service area.
• Travel independently to scheduled appointments and work in a mobile veterinary care environment.
• Perform physical exams, medications, sedation, euthanasia, and related services within regulatory scope.
• Educate families on end-of-life options and aftercare considerations.
