Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve families in Mason, Sharonville, Blue Ash, Ohio and surrounding areas. This role offers autonomy outside a traditional clinic, focusing on compassionate end-of-life care, strong family relationships, and professional balance within a doctor-led, privately held practice.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree from an accredited program.
• Active veterinary license in state(s) of practice or eligibility.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license for in-home visits.
• Ability to work independently as a mobile veterinarian.
• Strong communication with families during sensitive end-of-life discussions.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice, palliative care, and quality-of-life support.
• Travel independently to scheduled appointments in a mobile care setting.
• Perform examinations, administration of medications, sedation, and euthanasia as appropriate.
• Educate families on end-of-life options and aftercare considerations.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each encounter.
• Collaborate with Heartstrings team and referral veterinarians as needed.
• Safely handle and assist with movement of companion animals during visits.
• Demonstrate professionalism and clinical judgment in the field.
