Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families throughout Bellevue, Kirkland - Washington. This role offers autonomy and meaningful relationships, away from a traditional clinic environment.

You will provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia, with professional autonomy and flexible scheduling. Join a privately held, doctor-led practice focused on compassionate care.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited program.
• Active veterinary license in applicable state(s).
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Experience or ability to practice as a mobile veterinarian.
• Ability to communicate with empathy during hospice conversations.
• Rotational weekend scheduling availability.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with heavier loads.
• Background and motor vehicle record checks completed after hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and euthanasia services.
• Travel independently to scheduled appointments in a mobile care setting.
• Perform exams, administer meds, sedation, and euthanasia within regulations.
• Guide families through end-of-life options with empathy and clear communication.
• Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with Heartstrings team.
• Safely handle and assist with animals during home visits.
• Uphold Heartstrings’ values of Compassion, Dignity, Respect.
