Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking an In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarian to serve pet families in the SeaTac & Tuwila, Washington area. This role offers autonomy, meaningful client relationships, and the opportunity to practice compassionate end-of-life veterinary care in homes.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Active veterinary license in WA or eligibility.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and travel to appointments.
• Ability to work independently in a mobile setting.
• Strong communication and empathy during end-of-life conversations.
• Weekend rotation availability.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and euthanasia.
• Travel to scheduled appointments in a mobile care environment.
• Perform exams, medications, sedation, and other services within scope and regulations.
• Educate families on quality-of-life decisions and end-of-life options.
• Maintain accurate medical records for each encounter.
• Communicate professionally with families and veterinary teams.
• Safely handle and assist with movement of companion animals.
