Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking veterinarians to provide in-home hospice and euthanasia services across the Bellevue and Kirkland area. This role offers professional autonomy, compassionate family interactions, and the chance to practice end-of-life veterinary care in clients' homes.

You will work independently in a mobile setting, focusing on comfort, pain management, and family guidance, with scheduling support from Heartstrings."

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD/BVMS or equivalent veterinary degree required.
• Active veterinary license in the state where services are provided.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel to in-home appointments.
• Ability to work independently in a mobile practice and communicate with empathy.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia.
• Travel Independently to scheduled appointments in a mobile care setting.
• Perform physical exams, medication administration, sedation, euthanasia, and related services.
• Educate families on end-of-life options with empathy and clear communication.
• Maintain accurate medical records for each patient encounter.
• Coordinate with Heartstrings team and referring veterinarians.
