Job summary

Right at Home is hiring Home Health Aides to support local seniors and adults with disabilities in Massachusetts. You will assist with daily living activities, including hygiene, mobility, and meal prep, in clients' homes.

We offer on-site training, competitive scheduling, and opportunities for professional growth. A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a state-approved HHA/PCA course are preferred, with CPR recommended.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months HHA/PCA experience with state-approved course.
• Sympathetic attitude toward care of the sick.
• Meet direct-patient-care requirements.
• Read/write/speak English as needed for the role.
• Valid driver’s license with insured vehicle.
• Competency Evaluation under state licensing laws.
• Reliable transportation.
• CPR certificate recommended.
• HHA certificate highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing).
• Prepare meals and assist in the kitchen as needed.

Shift Type: Part-time and Full-Time (Day, Weekend, Evenings, Overnights available)

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY-TO-DAY:

• You don’t mind getting a little dirty … this could include (but is not limited to) assisting the patient with activities of daily living such as providing assistance with personal hygiene (toileting, bathing, care of mouth, skin and hair), ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, light housekeeping, and other household chores.
• You don’t have to be a gourmet chef but you can prepare a good meal and work your way around a kitchen.

OUR BEST TEAM MEMBERS ARE:

• High school degree or G.E.D. certificate
• Six months experience as a Home Health Aide (HHA) and/or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in health care (homes or facilites) and successful completion of a State approved Nurse Aide, Home Health Aide (HHA), or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) course.
• Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick, and the ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
• Meets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care
• Read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
• Have a valid driver’s license and use an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation
• The Home Health Aide shall have successfully completed a Competency Evaluation that meets the state licensing laws for home health agencies.
• Reliable transportation
