Job summary

Right at Home is hiring in-home CNAs to provide in-home care, respite care, hospice care, senior personal care, and elder care on a full-time or part-time basis. You will support clients in their homes with daily activities, personal care and companionship, helping improve quality of life.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• Six months experience as a Home Health Aide (HHA) and/or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) preferred.
• Sympathetic attitude toward care of the sick required.
• Meets requirements for direct patient care.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle required for work.
• Competency Evaluation per state licensing laws required.
• Reliable transportation expected.
• CPR certificate recommended.
• CNA license highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with ADLs including hygiene, mobility, feeding, dressing and light housekeeping.
• Prepare meals and assist in kitchen tasks.

Shift Type:

Part-time and Full-Time (Day, Weekend, Evenings, Overnights available)

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY-TO-DAY:

• You don’t mind getting a little dirty … this could include (but is not limited to) assisting the patient with activities of daily living such as providing assistance with personal hygiene (toileting, bathing, care of mouth, skin and hair), ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, light housekeeping, and other household chores.

• You don’t have to be a gourmet chef but you can prepare a good meal and work your way around a kitchen.

OUR BEST TEAM MEMBERS ARE:

• High school degree or G.E.D. certificate
• Six months experience as a Home Health Aide (HHA) and/or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in health care (homes or facilites) and successful completion of a State approved Nurse Aide, Home Health Aide (HHA), or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) course.
• Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick, and the ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
• Meets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care
• Read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
• Have a valid driver’s license and use an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation
• The Home Health Aide shall have successfully completed a Competency Evaluation that meets the state licensing laws for home health agencies.
• Reliable transportation
