Right at Home is hiring Personal Care Assistants (PCA) and Home Health Aides (HHA) in Massachusetts. Full-time and part-time positions offer flexible day, weekend, and evening shifts to fit your schedule while helping local seniors and adults with disabilities stay independent at home.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED certificate.
• Six months experience as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in health care (homes or facilities).
• Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
• Have a valid driver’s license and use an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation.
• The Home Health Aide shall have successfully completed a Competency Evaluation that meets the state licensing laws for home health agencies.
• Reliable transportation.
• A current CPR certificate is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living: hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, light housekeeping, and other household tasks.
• Prepare meals and work your way around a kitchen.

Shift Type: Part-time and Full-Time(Day,Weekend, Evenings, Overnights available)

Responsibilities of the Personal Care Assistants (PCA):

• You don’t mind getting a little dirty … this could include (but is not limited to) assisting the patient with activities of daily living such as providing assistance with personal hygiene (toileting, bathing, care of mouth, skin and hair), ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, light housekeeping, and other household chores.

• You don’t have to be a gourmet chef but you can prepare a good meal and work your way around a kitchen.

Requirements of the Personal Care Assistants (PCA):

• High school degree or G.E.D. certificate
• Six months experience as a Home Health Aide (HHA) and/or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in health care (homes or facilites) and successful completion of a State approved Nurse Aide, Home Health Aide (HHA), or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) course.
• Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick, and the ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
• Meets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care
• Read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
• Have a valid driver’s license and use an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation
• The Home Health Aide shall have successfully completed a Competency Evaluation that meets the state licensing laws for home health agencies.
