Job summary

Right at Home in Pawtucket, RI is seeking compassionate Home Health Aides (HHAs) and Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to support seniors and disabled adults in their homes. You will assist with daily living activities, meals, and light household tasks in a respectful, patient-focused role.

Flexibility with day, evening, weekend and overnight shifts is available. Prior certification (CNA) and CPR are preferred; a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Six months experience as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in health care settings.
• Must read, write, and understand English for job requirements.
• Valid driver’s license and access to insured transportation.

Responsibilities

• Help patients with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, grooming, mobility, feeding).
• Assist with meal preparation and basic kitchen tasks.
• Provide compassionate, respectful in-home care and support to seniors and adults with disabilities.

Shift Type:Part-time and Full-Time(Day,Weekend, Evenings, Overnights available)

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY-TO-DAY:

• You don't mind getting a little dirty … this could include (but is not limited to) assisting the patient with activities of daily living such as providing assistance with personal hygiene (toileting, bathing, care of mouth, skin and hair), ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, light housekeeping, and other household chores.
• You don't have to be a gourmet chef but you can prepare a good meal and work your way around a kitchen.

OUR BEST TEAM MEMBERS ARE:

• High school degree or G.E.D. certificate
• Six months experience as a Home Health Aide (HHA) and/or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in health care (homes or facilites) and successful completion of a State approved Nurse Aide, Home Health Aide (HHA), or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) course.
• Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick, and the ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
• Meets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care
• Read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
• Have a valid driver's license and use an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation
• The Home Health Aide shall have successfully completed a Competency Evaluation that meets the state licensing laws for home health agencies.
• Reliable transportation

• CNA license highly preferred
