Job summary

Right at Home in Massachusetts is seeking compassionate Home Health Aides (HHA) to support local seniors in their homes. Part-time and full-time shifts are available across day, evening, weekend, and overnight slots.

You’ll assist with daily living activities, meal preparation, and light housekeeping to improve client quality of life. We offer medical insurance options, a retirement plan with matching, on‑demand pay via TapCheck, paid training, and paid travel time/mileage.

Qualifications

• Six months experience as a Home Health Aide (HHA) and/or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in health care (homes or facilities) and successful completion of a State approved Nurse Aide, HHA, or PCA course.
• Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick, and the ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
• Read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
• Have a valid driver's license and use an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation
• The Home Health Aide shall have successfully completed a Competency Evaluation that meets the state licensing laws for home health agencies.
• Reliable transportation
• A current CPR certificate is recommended

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, and light housekeeping.
• Prepare simple meals and navigate the kitchen to support meals.

Shift Type:

Part-time and Full-Time (Day, Weekend, Evenings, Overnights available)

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY-TO-DAY:

• You don't mind getting a little dirty … this could include (but is not limited to) assisting the patient with activities of daily living such as providing assistance with personal hygiene (toileting, bathing, care of mouth, skin and hair), ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, light housekeeping, and other household chores.

• You don't have to be a gourmet chef but you can prepare a good meal and work your way around a kitchen.

OUR BEST TEAM MEMBERS ARE:

• High school degree or G.E.D. certificate
• Six months experience as a Home Health Aide (HHA) and/or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in health care (homes or facilities) and successful completion of a State approved Nurse Aide, Home Health Aide (HHA), or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) course.
