Job summary

Youth Villages, Inc. is hiring a PRN Community-Based Counselor to provide in-home counseling for youth and their families across Indiana.

You will conduct individual and family sessions, perform ongoing assessments, and collaborate with courts and providers to create strong, family-centered treatment plans. Responsibilities include driving to family locations, maintaining accurate EMR documentation, and participating in regular professional development meetings while offering crisis support when

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a social services discipline preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a social services discipline required.
• Experience with at-risk youth and/or families preferred.
• Clinical experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written, verbal, and oral skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to maintain a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Carries a small caseload as assigned by supervisory on an as-needed basis.
• Holds individual and family sessions 3 times per week, scheduled around families.
• Conducts ongoing youth assessments from a strength-focused perspective.
• Attends 3 weekly meetings for professional development (individual, team, clinical).
• Drove up to 60–80 miles to meet families in homes and communities (travel may be required).
• Collaborates with other providers, case workers, and courts to form a treatment plan.
• Provides on-call crisis support to youth and family (location varies).
• Documents accurately in EMR in a timely manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
