Job summary

Youth Villages seeks a PRN Community-Based Counselor to provide in-home family sessions and crisis support. The role involves flexible scheduling and driving to families’ homes in the community, supporting treatment planning, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in social services (or higher preferred), experience with at-risk youth, and strong organizational and communication skills. Travel and EMR documentation are integral to daily duties.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred or Bachelor’s degree required in social services.
• Experience with at-risk youth and families preferred.
• Clinical experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written, verbal, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Carries a small case load as assigned by supervisor on an as-needed basis.
• Holds individual and family sessions with each family.
• Attends 3 weekly meetings for professional development.
• Travels up to 60–80 miles to meet families in their homes and communities.
• Maintains accurate EMR documentation and records.
• Provides on-call crisis support to youth and family as needed.
• Collaborates with providers, case workers, and courts to plan treatment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
