Job summary

Youth Villages is seeking a PRN Community-Based Counselor to support the Intercept in-home program. You will carry a small caseload and conduct family sessions three times weekly, delivering strength-based mental health interventions in the families’ homes and communities.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a social services discipline (master’s preferred). Travel up to 60–80 miles and strong communication skills are required; flexible schedule and a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a social services discipline is required.
• Master’s degree (preferred) in social work, psychology, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Holds individual and family sessions with each family 3 times a week.
• Conducts ongoing assessment of youth to determine needs from a strength-focused perspective.
• Attends 3 weekly meetings (individual, team, clinical) for professional development.
• Drives up to 60–80 miles to meet families in their homes and communities.
• Collaborates with other providers, case workers, and courts to formulate a treatment plan.
• Provides on-call crisis support to the youth and family.
• Completes documentation in an electronic medical record system (EMR).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
