Job summary

RightWay ABA is seeking a Behavior Technician to support in-home and center-based therapy for children ages 2-18. The BT will implement ABA treatment plans created by a BCBA, teach communication, social, daily living and play skills, and use reinforcement strategies to increase positive behaviors.

The role also involves session preparation, documentation, data collection, and regular communication with supervising BCBAs.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized ABA treatment plans created by a BCBA.
• Teach communication, social, daily living, and play skills.
• Use reinforcement strategies to increase desired behaviors.
• Implement behavior-reduction plans to address challenging behaviors.
• Collect accurate, real-time data on client progress.
• Prepare materials needed for therapy sessions.
• Maintain detailed session notes and documentation according to company and insurance standards.
• Track skill acquisition and behavior trends using data-collection software or paper systems.
• Communicate regularly with supervising BCBAs about client progress and challenges.
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions.
• Provide feedback to caregivers when appropriate and under BCBA guidance.
• Follow ethical guidelines set by the BACB.
• Uphold client confidentiality and professional boundaries.
