Job summary

RightWay ABA in Bloomingdale, NJ is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to support in-home ABA therapy for children ages 2-18. You will implement individualized treatment plans created by a BCBA and help children develop communication, social, daily living, and play skills.

This role involves collecting real-time data, preparing session materials, and coordinating with supervising BCBAs. Training and mentorship are provided to advance toward becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT),

Qualifications

• Direct communication with supervising BCBAs
• Data collection and data-collection software usage
• Knowledge of BACB ethical guidelines

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized ABA treatment plans created by a BCBA.
• Teach communication, social, daily living, and play skills.
• Use reinforcement strategies to increase desired behaviors.
• Implement behavior-reduction plans to address challenging behaviors.
• Collect accurate, real-time data on client progress.
• Prepare materials needed for therapy sessions.
• Maintain detailed session notes and documentation according to company and insurance standards.
• Track skill acquisition and behavior trends using data-collection software.
• Communicate regularly with supervising BCBAs about client progress and challenges.
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions.
• Provide feedback to caregivers when appropriate and under BCBA guidance.
• Follow ethical guidelines set by the BACB.
• Uphold client confidentiality and professional boundaries.
