Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is hiring an Appliance Service Technician to diagnose and repair major GE appliances in customer homes in Rockville, MD and surrounding areas. You will promote service plans, manage routes, and maintain documentation for high-quality customer experiences.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of appliance or related maintenance experience, strong customer service skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a CFC certification within 6 months.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience repairing appliances, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or property maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose and repair major appliances.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills; professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete in-home repairs on GE Appliances’ major appliances.
• Recommend repair vs replacement based on cost-effectiveness and customer needs.
• Promote and sell service contracts, water filters, and related products.
• Operate assigned service van to customer locations.
• Document repairs, routes, and work activities accurately.
