Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, seeks an Appliance Service Technician to diagnose and repair major GE appliances in customer homes, primarily in the Jessup, MD area. You will promote service plans, deliver value-driven solutions, and represent the GE Appliances brand on every service call.

As part of the Bodewell team, you’ll receive a company vehicle, tools, and ongoing training while delivering exceptional customer experiences and high-quality repairs across our product lineup.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of appliance repair or related experience (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or property maintenance).
• Ability to diagnose and repair major appliances.
• Excellent customer service and professional communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to pass background check, physical and drug screen.
• Willingness to obtain CFC Certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete in-home repairs on GE Appliances’ major appliances.
• Recommend repair vs replacement based on cost-effectiveness and customer needs.
• Promote and sell service contracts, water filters, and related products.
• Operate assigned Bodewell service van to customer locations.
• Document repairs, routes, and work activities.
• Attend training sessions and meetings to maintain expertise.
• Manage inventory and maintenance of your service vehicle.
• Deliver high-quality service and maintain customer satisfaction.
