GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking an Appliance Service Technician in Brooklyn/Queens, NY. You will diagnose and repair major appliances, promote service plans, and travel via company van to customer locations.

The role combines technical repair work with customer education and brand representation. Minimum 1+ year experience in appliance repair or related fields, with strong customer-service skills and a valid driver's license.

Qualificações

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years appliance repair, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or property maintenance experience.
• Ability/experience diagnosing and repairing major appliances.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Basic computer aptitude including MS Office (Outlook & Teams).
• Flexible schedule with some Saturdays.
• Valid state driver’s license and background check/drug screen.
• CFC Certification within 6 months.
• Uniforms and grooming standards.
• Self-directed and team player.
• Ability to deescalate and rebuild customer confidence.
• Able to lift parts up to 77 lbs. and push/pull 70 lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose and complete in‑home repairs on GE Appliances' major appliances.
• Recommend repair vs replacement based on cost-effectiveness and customer needs.
• Promote and sell service contracts, water filters, and related products.
• Operate an assigned Bodewell service van to customer locations.
• Document repairs, routes, and work activities.
• Participate in training sessions, meetings, and events to maintain expertise.
• Maintain inventory and service vehicle.
