Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, invites skilled Appliance Care Technician candidates to join the Bodewell team for in-home repair of GE Appliances’ major appliances. You’ll assess repairs, educate customers, and promote service plans and accessories.

You will work from Rockville, MD / Gaithersburg, MD locations, delivering trusted service and building lasting customer relationships with value-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of appliance repair, electrical, mechanical, HVAC or property maintenance experience.
• Ability to diagnose and repair major household appliances.
• Excellent customer service and professional communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams.
• Flexible schedule including some Saturdays.
• Valid state driver’s license; background check, physical and drug screen.
• CFC Certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete in-home repairs on GE Appliances’ major appliances.
• Assess repair vs replacement based on cost-effectiveness and customer needs.
• Promote and sell service contracts, water filters, and related products.
• Operate the assigned Bodewell service van to customer locations.
• Document repairs, routes, and work activities.
• Participate in training sessions and meetings to maintain expertise.
• Maintain inventory and upkeep of the service vehicle.
• Deliver high-quality service and ensure customer satisfaction.
