Job summary

Step Up Family Services LLC in New Jersey is seeking a part-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / Behavior Technician (BT) to support in-home ABA programs for children with ASD and other developmental disabilities under BCBA supervision.

You will deliver 1:1 therapy, collect data, implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction strategies, and collaborate with families and the clinical team to promote skills across settings. Flexible schedule and travel to client homes required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred.
• RBT certification preferred; must obtain within 90 days if applicable.
• Experience with children or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Reliable transportation to client homes or centers.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and engage in floor activities.
• Must pass background checks and abuse registry screenings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy under BCBA supervision as directed by treatment plans.
• Record and maintain accurate data on client progress using data systems.
• Implement skill acquisition programs targeting communication, social, adaptive, and academic skills.
• Follow and apply behavior reduction protocols designed by the BCBA.
• Support generalization of skills across environments and people.
• Provide reinforcement, prompting, and other ABA techniques per plan.
• Engage in ongoing training, supervision, and team meetings.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the clinical team.
• Ensure health, safety, and well-being of clients at all times.
