Job summary

Step Up Family Services seeks a part-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / Behavior Technician (BT) to implement individualized ABA programs for children with ASD and other developmental disabilities. You will provide 1:1 in-home or center-based services under BCBA supervision, recording progress and applying behavior strategies.

You’ll deliver skill acquisition programs, maintain data, and participate in supervision and training to support ongoing credentialing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred.
• RBT certification (preferred but not required at time of hire; required within 90 days of employment if applicable).
• Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes or centers as needed.
• Must pass background checks, including criminal history and abuse registry screenings.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, bend, kneel, and sit on the floor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy as directed by the supervising BCBA, following individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention strategies
• Record and maintain accurate data on client progress using electronic data collection systems
• Implement skill acquisition programs targeting communication, social, adaptive, and academic behaviors
• Follow and apply behavior reduction protocols as designed by the BCBA
• Assist with the generalization of skills across environments, people, and settings
• Provide reinforcement, prompting, and other ABA techniques in accordance with the client’s treatment plan
• Maintain professional and ethical conduct in accordance with BACB guidelines (if applicable)
• Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and team meetings
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the clinical team
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of clients at all times
