Job summary

Chicago Public Schools seeks a professional school counselor to support students across academic, personal/social, and career development within the REACH framework. Responsibilities

• Create, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive school counseling program aligned with CPS REACH Framework for School Counselors
• Conduct annual needs assessments and data reviews to identify critical areas of student need
• Design, conduct, and co-teach learning activities in classroom, large group, and school-wide settings to address academic, career, postsecondary and social/emotional needs
• Provide individual student planning and advisement to ensure diploma completion and postsecondary options
• Provide responsive services to address barriers to academic achievement and coordinate with families, teachers, and external partners
• Coordinate professional development and system-wide school counseling initiatives
