Chicago Public Schools is seeking a licensed school counselor to join our team in Chicago. The counselor will lead the comprehensive guidance program, align services with the REACH framework, and work with students, families, and staff to promote academic success and well-being.

Responsibilities include conducting needs assessments, delivering classroom guidance, planning for postsecondary pathways, and coordinating supports across the school community.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in school counseling and ISBE PEL with School Counseling Endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Create, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive school counseling program aligned with the CPS REACH Framework for School Counselors.
• Conduct annual needs assessments and data reviews to identify and prioritize student needs.
• Design, deliver, and co-teach the School Counseling Core Curriculum across classrooms and school settings.
• Provide individual planning and responsive services to support students' academic, postsecondary, and social/emotional goals.
• Coordinate indirect student support and collaborate with families, staff, and community partners.

Education

Master's degree in school counseling

ISBE Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Counseling Endorsement
