Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to independently perform respiratory care procedures for residents, interpret physician orders, assess needs, and deliver prescribed therapy. The role includes education of clinical staff and collaboration with nursing leadership to integrate respiratory services into daily practice.

Requirements include CRT or RRT in the state of practice, current BLS (ACLS preferred), and annual TB and fingerprint clearances.

Qualifications

• Must be CRT or RRT in the state where practiced.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care, including diagnostics, therapy delivery, and resident education.
• Administer respiratory care safely: intermittent/continuous therapy, ventilation, airway management, and oxygen monitoring.
• Coordinate with nursing leadership to integrate respiratory care into daily practice and train staff as needed.
• Develop and adjust discharge plans and ensure equipment maintenance and documentation.
