Job summary

M-D Building Products is seeking a Quality Control Lab Technician in Georgia to support daily QC testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products. You will collect samples, run routine tests (pH, viscosity), and record results in Excel and lab records.

This hands-on role requires standing most of the day and adherence to safety procedures while communicating issues to Quality and Production. The position operates on a swing shift from 9:30 a.m.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in a Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Research & Development, or laboratory environment.
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Be comfortable standing and moving throughout the laboratory approximately 85% of the workday.

Responsibilities

• Collect, handle, and prepare laboratory samples for testing.
• Perform routine quality-control testing and verify production results against established specifications.
• Accurately document test results and maintain detailed laboratory records.
• Assist with calibration and verification of laboratory equipment.
• Communicate out-of-specification or unusual results to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow established laboratory procedures, test methods, and work instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
• Work collaboratively with Quality, Production, and other departments to help resolve product-quality issues.
• Properly handle laboratory materials and equipment.
• Follow applicable safety procedures and wear required PPE.
