Job summary

M-D Building Products is seeking a Quality Control Lab Technician in Gainesville, GA. The role involves performing routine QC testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished products, collecting samples, recording results in Excel, and ensuring adherence to test methods and safety protocols.

You will work on a swing-to-night shift with a 9:30 am to 6:15 pm start during training, then 10:00 pm to 6:30 am, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

2–4 years of experience in QC/QA/lab environment.
Equivalent education and training will be considered.
Be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand ~85% of the workday.

Responsibilities

Collect, handle, and prepare laboratory samples for testing.
Perform routine quality-control testing and verify production results against specifications.
Accurately document test results and maintain laboratory records.
Assist with calibration and verification of laboratory equipment.
Communicate out-of-specification or unusual results to the appropriate personnel.
Follow laboratory procedures, methods, and work instructions.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
Collaborate with Quality, Production, and other departments to resolve product-quality issues.
Handle laboratory materials and wear required PPE.
