Job summary

Potters Industries in Augusta, GA is seeking a lab technician to perform quality testing on raw materials, in-process items and finished goods to support the manufacturing process.

The role runs 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with weekly rotation; pay is $26.54 per hour plus benefits. You will document results, prepare COAs, manage lab data in Excel/Access, and contribute to safety initiatives while covering vacations as needed.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in the sciences required.
• Bachelor of Science in the sciences preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily analysis of raw materials, finished products, in process products and shipments.
• Document results in lab notebook and Excel spreadsheet.
• Provide written and verbal feedback of test results to affected parties.
• Enter lab data into the Access database and perform interpolation.
• Prepare COA’s and issue to the customer.
• Perform weekly lab supply inventory.
• Inform Unit Manager or Plant Manager of issues or concerns of the lab.
• Support the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
• Follow plant/corporate policies.
• Cover vacations and absences to maintain staffing requirements.
