Job summary

Mercy Health’s St. Joseph Warren Hospital is seeking a Progressive Care (Step-Down) Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality patient care. The role involves assessing patients, developing care plans, and coordinating care across Med-Surg and ICU interfaces in a busy hospital setting.

Required is an active RN license with at least 1 year of RN experience; BSN is preferred but not required. BLS/ACLS are recommended, with ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience (required).
• BLS and ACLS certifications preferred at hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, develop and evaluate care plans.
• Administer medications safely per policies and state practice.
• Coordinate patient care across hospital departments and act as care coordination contact.
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement in the department.
