Job summary

Community Housing Innovations Inc. in Smithtown, NY, is seeking a full-time Program Manager to oversee social work services within the Suffolk County program, ensuring high-quality housing services and compliance with CHI, HUD, Section 8, and DSS requirements.

You will supervise staff, conduct 1-to-1 meetings, maintain records, coordinate admissions and discharges, and prepare timely reports for funding agencies.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or similar field required.
• Five years' experience with two years supervisory in client services and program administration.
• In lieu of a Master's degree, a Bachelor's degree in human services.
• New York State Social Work License preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; Proficiency in English; bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision for staff on site; conduct 1-to-1 meetings and update performance goals.
• Ensure program compliance with CHI, HUD, Section 8, and DSS requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare timely reports for funding agencies.
• Coordinate admission and discharge processes and act as liaison with referring agencies.
• Provide on-call coverage and oversee payroll procedures within department.
