Job summary

Community Housing Innovations (CHI) is seeking a full-time, service-oriented professional to support homeless and housing clients in Riverhead, NY. You will deliver information, referrals, counseling, crisis intervention, and advocacy to help clients access stable housing and services.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in human services and strong communication skills; bilingual Spanish is a plus. You will collaborate with DSS and other providers, document progress, and maintain records in

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in English required; bilingual Spanish is a plus.
• Experience in housing or homelessness services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and enforce program regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Assist clients in developing an Independent Living Plan (ILP) and evaluate progress.
• Provide information, referrals, counseling, crisis intervention, direct service, and advocacy.
• Develop and maintain a resource network and collaborate with DSS and other providers.
• Assist clients with budgets, resumes, and ADL skills.
• Conduct face-to-face meetings with clients and inspect living spaces for compliance.
