Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is seeking a Positive Support Specialist (PSS) to work in Intensive Community Residential Services (ICRS) programs in Saint Cloud, MN. You will help individuals with complex medical, behavioral and mental health needs achieve personal goals in a structured, supportive environment.

Responsibilities include teaching life skills, advocating for rights and care, documenting shifts, and safely managing crises.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or better; degree preferred.
• 1–2 years working with people with complex needs; 3–5 years preferred.
• Must be cleared by a BCA background check and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to be more independent in essential life skills.
• Advocate for individuals in rights, medical care and community settings.
• Complete necessary documentation and record-keeping every shift.
• Manage crisis situations safely and effectively, with training in Positive Behavioral Supports.
• Engage in trauma-informed care daily.
