Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota (LSS) is seeking a Positive Support Specialist to support individuals with complex needs in community and home settings. The role focuses on person-centered planning, safety, and meaningful activity participation within ICRS programs.

You will help individuals with life skills, advocacy, and community involvement, while maintaining documentation and engaging in trauma-informed care as part of a supportive, ALIVE workplace environment.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse individuals.
• Must be physically able to stand, walk, or lift up to 50 lbs.
• Driver's license required; background check (BCA) and MVR check.
• Knowledge of local community resources is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to gain independence in daily living activities.
• Advocate for individuals in rights, medical care, and community engagements.
• Complete shift documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Handle crisis situations safely and receive training in Positive Behavioral Supports.
