The role involves supporting individuals with complex medical and behavioral needs, using a person-centered approach, and helping them participate in meaningful activities in home and community settings.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse individuals.
• Must be physically able to stand, squat, bend or walk for long periods and lift 50 lbs.
• Must pass BCA background check and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to become more independent in life skills like meal prep and personal hygiene.
• Advocate for rights and medical care for individuals served.
• Complete documentation and records each shift.
• Manage crisis situations safely, including potential use of restraints with required training.
• Engage in trauma-informed care daily.
