Responsibilities include teaching life skills, advocacy, and diligent shift documentation, with training provided for behavioral supports and crisis management.

Qualifications

• Minimum education is a high school diploma, but a degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Minimum 1-2 years experience with people with complex needs; 3-5 years preferred.
• Must pass BCA background check and have a valid driver's license; MVR required.

Responsibilities

• Help individuals become more independent with daily life skills like meals and hygiene.
• Advocate for rights, medical care, and community involvement.
• Complete documentation and record-keeping each shift.
• Manage crisis situations safely; training in Positive Behavioral Supports and restraints provided.
• Engage in trauma-informed care on a daily basis.
