Job summary

Telecare Corporation is seeking a Peer Recovery Coach I in San Mateo, CA to engage and support members on their recovery goals. The role includes facilitating conversations, promoting a recovery culture, and providing critical de-escalation in emergencies within a behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities involve collaborating with the team, using the RCCS framework, and helping individuals access tailored services, supports, and self-help programs in a compassionate, least restrictive

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification.
• One year or part-time equivalent of experience supporting members with behavioral health challenges.
• Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care.
• Valid and current driver's license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
• Willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.

Responsibilities

• Engages, inspires, and facilitates meaningful conversations with members served to explore, create, and meet recovery goals.
• Provide consultation to the team to promote Telecare's Recovery Culture as defined by RCCS.
• Respond to critical situations with de-escalation skills to support a least restrictive environment.
