Job summary

Telecare Corporation seeks a Peer Recovery Coach I to engage with members, explore recovery goals, and support their journey toward recovery. The role emphasizes building trust, facilitating conversations, and contributing to a Recovery Culture within Telecare's RCCS framework.

You will work as part of a team, responding to crises with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills, ensuring a supportive, least-restrictive environment for those served.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Peer Certification must be obtained prior to hire and maintained throughout employment.
• California: Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification through CalMHSA must be obtained within 120 days of hire and maintained.
• One year or part-time equivalent experience supporting members with behavioral health challenges.
• Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care.
• Successful completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment Training.

Responsibilities

• Engage with members to explore and meet recovery goals.
• Provide consultation to the care team to reinforce Recovery Culture and RCCS.
• Respond to critical situations with de-escalation to support least restrictive environment.
