Job summary

KIPP Columbus is seeking a Resource Room Intervention Specialist to support students with disabilities in Math or English, delivering specially designed instruction in small groups of up to 16 students per period.

You will develop IEPs, monitor progress, and coordinate with families and related service providers while contributing to a diverse learning team committed to antiracist practice and inclusive education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Current Ohio Special Education Intervention Specialist License or willingness and ability to pursue certification by start date.
• Prior teaching experience preferred, but not required.
• Experience with writing IEPs, progress monitoring, and data collection.
• Ability to demonstrate content knowledge in Math or English.
• Experience using SameGoal to create special education documents.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and collaborate in a fast-paced start-up-like environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach Math or English courses to students with disabilities in small groups (≤16 per period).
• Provide specially designed instruction to students on caseload.
• Lead transition activities during diverse learning lab period.
