Job summary

KIPP Columbus is seeking a Resource Room Intervention Specialist to teach Math or English to students with disabilities in small groups up to 16, delivering specially designed instruction and leading transition activities within the Diverse Learning Team.

This role emphasizes antiracist teaching, data-driven instruction, IEP/MTSS participation, family collaboration, and adherence to Ohio standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college
• Current Ohio Special Education Intervention Specialist License or willingness to pursue certification by start date
• Experience writing IEPs, progress monitoring, progress reporting & data collection
• Ability to demonstrate content knowledge in Math or English
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Implement IEPs and MTSS processes
• Design and deliver specially designed instruction for students with disabilities
• Provide direct intervention in small groups (≤16 students)
• Differentiate instruction and modify curriculum per student needs
• Collaborate with families and related service providers
• Maintain documentation and progress reports for IEPs
• Adhere to Ohio standards and district policies
