Job summary

KIPP Columbus seeks a highly qualified Special Educator within the Diverse Learning Team to deliver specially designed instruction for students with disabilities. You will implement IEPs, collaborate with general education staff, and provide targeted support to learners in line with Ohio standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Current Ohio Special Education Intervention Specialist License or willingness to pursue certification by start date.
• Prior teaching experience preferred.
• Experience with participating in ETR meetings and writing ETR Part 1.
• Experience with writing IEPs, progress monitoring, progress reporting & data collection.
• Experience using SameGoal to create special education documents.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
• Provide small-group instruction for students with disabilities.
• Differentiate instruction and modify curriculum to meet learning needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to co-plan and co-teach lessons.
• Maintain documentation and progress reports for IEPs.
• Participate in MTSS/ETR meetings.
• Advocate for inclusive practices and accommodations.
• Assist in training general education staff on inclusion strategies.
