Job summary

You will align with the district curriculum, monitor student progress, communicate with families, maintain positive classroom management, and record attendance and performance using district systems while upholding DPS policies.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field.
• Possess a valid Colorado Department of Education teaching license.
• Commit to equity, anti-racism, and inclusive practices.
• Be willing to reside in Colorado and meet physical demands of the role.

Responsibilities

• Counsels students to support achievement.
• Monitors and reinforces conduct per policy.
• Observes and reports student performance and health.
• Prepares curriculum outlines and materials.
• Establishes clear objectives for lessons and projects.
• Delivers instruction using varied teaching methods and technology.
• Instructs students individually and in groups.
• Prepares and grades tests, records grades in District software.
• Prepares attendance and activity reports.
• Communicates with parents and administrators to resolve issues.
