Job summary

Denver Public Schools is seeking a Long-Term Substitute teacher to deliver standard-based curriculum across the assigned grade level when the classroom teacher is absent for an extended period. You will implement district-approved curriculum and support student learning in a dynamic classroom environment.

You will counsel students, monitor behavior, assess progress, and communicate with families while maintaining a positive classroom culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field.
• Valid Colorado teaching license (CDE) or Application Receipt for 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Counsels students to encourage and support student achievement.
• Monitors and enforces classroom conduct according to policy.
• Observes, evaluates, and reports student performance and health.
