Job summary

Denver Public Schools is hiring a Long-Term Substitute to teach grade-appropriate curriculum when the classroom teacher is absent for an extended period. The role requires delivering standards-based instruction and maintaining classroom routines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field.
• Colorado teaching license required; DPS accepts CDE Application Receipt for 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Counsels students to encourage and support student achievement.
• Monitors, supervises, and enforces student behavior according to district policy.
• Observes, evaluates and records student performance and health.
• Prepares lesson outlines, objectives, and materials per curriculum guidelines.
• Communicates with parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve student issues.

Education
