The City of New York’s DYCD seeks a Community Coordinator to monitor SYEP providers and ensure high‑quality youth services. The role involves communicating program policies to providers and supporting data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities include field visits, audits, supervising seasonal staff, and maintaining logs. The position requires adaptability, teamwork, and strong analytical skills within a dynamic public service environment.

Formación

• Experience in workforce and youth development field preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Enjoy working as a team member as well as independently.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and evaluate the performance of SYEP providers to ensure high-quality services.
• Communicate program policies, procedures, and expectations clearly to providers.
• Utilize DYCD’s web-based information and contract performance management systems.
• Conduct field visits to provider sites for assessments and evaluations.
• Perform audits of provider program records and ad-hoc visits for special initiatives.
• Supervise seasonal staff and track monitoring tasks.
• Compile and analyze provider performance data to inform unit strategies.
• Support additional projects within the SYEP unit.
• Maintain a flexible work schedule as required by the program.
