Job summary

Police Athletic League, Inc. is seeking a Borough Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and manage a Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) contract.

The role oversees staff, recruitment, worksite development, and contract deliverables, ensuring a high-quality experience for youth, families, employers, and partners. The Borough Coordinator will act as a primary contact for SYEP programming, ensuring timelines, requirements, and participant/worksite needs are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 1–2 years of experience in youth employment, workforce development, education, human services, program coordination, or related field; SYEP experience preferred.
• Experience coordinating programs, managing operations, or working with youth-serving programs preferred.
• Experience supervising, training, or guiding staff preferred.
• Strong organizational, leadership, time-management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Staff recruitment, onboarding, training, supervision, coaching, and evaluation of SYEP staff.
• Coordinate participant recruitment, lottery selection, enrollment, orientation, placement, and onboarding per SYEP and agency requirements.
• Oversee day-to-day SYEP contract operations, scheduling, staffing, and services.
• Monitor compliance, deadlines, policies, procedures, and deliverables; ensure audit-ready documentation.
