Job summary

Police Athletic League, Inc. (PAL) is seeking a Borough Coordinator for SYEP to manage the Summer Youth Employment Program contract in the borough, supervise staff, recruit participants, and develop worksite partnerships.

The role ensures program activities meet DYCD and PAL requirements, while delivering high-quality experiences for youth and families. You will coordinate operations, oversee attendance, payroll, and data management, and collaborate with the Youth Employment Department to expand

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in youth employment, workforce development, education, human services, program coordination, or related field; SYEP experience preferred.
• Experience coordinating programs, managing operations, or working with youth-serving programs preferred.
• Strong organizational, leadership, time-management and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Staff management: recruit, interview, onboard, train, supervise, coach, and evaluate SYEP staff.
• Recruitment, lottery selection, enrollment, orientation, placement, and onboarding.
• Oversee day-to-day implementation of the SYEP contract and ensure services meet requirements.
• Monitor compliance, deadlines, policies, and contract deliverables; ensure documentation is audit-ready.
• Maintain participant records and prepare reports; monitor participation and outcomes.
• Develop and maintain relationships with employers, community organizations, and worksites.
• Recruit and maintain worksite partnerships for summer and year-round opportunities.
